Chubb Macau Sponsors the "Walk for a Million"

Macau, December 12, 2010 - Chubb and Guardforce employees participated in the 27th “Walk for a Million” community event in Macau. About 20 volunteers from Chubb and Guardforce joined with other 40,000 participants for a three kilometers walk from the Macau Cultural Centre to the Sao Lourenco Temple to raise fund for the community’s charity projects. 

A total of $3,000 was raised from Chubb and Guardforce employees and their families and friends. “Our colleagues displayed their warm hearts and support for this program,” said Sunny Chiang, Chubb Macau EHS Officer who coordinated the event, “We’re happy to share what we have with the life-saving projects in this community.” 

“One of our company’s core values is social responsibility.  The ‘Walk for a Million’ program was a good platform for us to display our care to the community,” said Mr. K.T. Yiu, General Manager of Chubb/Guardforce Macau.

The “Walk for a Million” program was initiated by Macao Daily News to raise fund from its readers and use the wealth to provide support to a number of community projects.   The program has a goal to make Macau better through helping the people in need and building a caring society by more people’s participation.
